About Us
Growing Together Through the Arts
Once Upon A Stage Theatre began over 12 years ago in a tiny room inside a local music school, with just a handful of students and a big dream. Since then, it has blossomed into a cherished part of the community—touching hearts, sparking imagination, and nurturing young artists.
Our students have grown with us, following our founder, Claudia Lopez, from space to space, building a true theatre family along the way.
Through our work with the Once Upon A Stage Theatre Foundation, we continue to expand that dream—creating meaningful, high-quality productions and opportunities that allow every student to feel seen, supported, and inspired.
GOALS
Once Upon A Stage Theatre is dedicated to providing students of all ages with a safe, welcoming space to perform and create art. In a world full of challenges, we offer a place where young artists can express themselves freely, build lasting friendships, and grow into confident, creative individuals.
Through our work with the Once Upon A Stage Theatre Foundation, we expand that mission by creating meaningful, high-quality opportunities that make the performing arts accessible, inclusive, and transformative for every student.

OUR FOUNDER
Our founder, Claudia Lopez, began teaching music and theatre at just 19 years old and quickly fell in love with it. A performing artist herself, she finds deep joy in watching her students grow, express themselves, and shine on stage. As she puts it, working with kids “brings light to my life.”
